The Wrangler is now entering its 4th generation as the new JL. It’s a very sparse and subtle redesign from the outgoing JK. But like the Porsche 911, the Wrangler is a tried and true design that really doesn’t need all that much updating. However, the subtle redesigns; the wicked cool new headlamps and tail lights, and the now protruding signature grill do bring this rugged American classic further into the 21st century, ensuring it is still the leader of the pack of true off-road vehicles. I had the opportunity to speak with Scott Brown of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) and he was able to tell me about some of the new tech and mechanical upgrades that come on the new JL Wrangler.
